ford KA

hi all sorry its about ford, but does anyone know if the endura engine fits into a KA that has the duratec engine. the mrs KA broke last week having tried nearly everything i think its going to be cheaper to swap engines. the reason being my brother picked up a cheap endura KA today so just trying to fined out if it will wire up to her old loom and stuff any info would be great.

No the engines are different as the inlet and exhaust manifolds are on different sides of the engine and the loom and ecu are different.

cheers mate ive noticed everything is on opposite sides, we need to do a compression test on her engine but none of the fittings we have fit. ive had the r.a.c man out aswell but he never had a clue either

You might be better off trying a fiesta/focus 1.6 zetec or puma swap, I take it the better half has a ka sport or street ka? I know a rally man who put a fiesta zetec s engine into his competition ka and it's a flying machine!

No its just the 1.3 duratec engine. She won't let me put a bigger engine in lol
