Not sure where to put this? Proberbly muppet room as I'm sure it's a dumb question! Lol

I started to fill the system up with coolant and it started pissing out the side of the rad :(
When I looked it looked like the rad was missing a plug or something.
Then I looked closer and noticed a wire with plug not connected to anything by the hole in the rad.
My question is: does the coolant temp sensor go in the side if the rad?
If it does has anyone got a link to the sensor for sale anywhere please.
