I was curious about the weight of the let because I want to know the difference in weight over the 1.6 8v. So I stuck it on the scales (was also on a pallet) and it weighed in at 186kg the pallet was 21kg so it weighs 165kg.

Anyone know the weight of a 1.6 8v?

Anyone have any experience with alloy blocks? Says there a 19kg weight saving over the standard block. Is this a bad idea for a big power let?

everything is a bad idea for a big power LET....

the alloy block costs a crazy 4 figure sum.........and i can't imagine its any stronger than the iron one gm used... & the iron one isn't strong enough for the LET
