My nova 1988 mk1

Well this is my first project thread on png, its a opel mk1 1988 in black :) bought it off a friend who has had it for 2 years and didn't nothing to it but park it in a garage.. plans are to get it running as something is wrong with the 1.2 engine. So ill work on the engine first and go on from there. Hope to get new arches, turrets and front panel welded in even if they don't need done! ill keep this updated every week

Looks good mate, why go through the bother Welding on new panels if it doesn't need it though?

Thanks mate, well when Im doing the arches im just going to get the sills done so I wont have to do it when the whole car is getting painted, always wanted a clean nova so I have time to do it now. but collecting mk2 wings, bonnet, wings and grill next month, engine will be getting work for now till I get all the parts

Whats your plans for it then? Got to say it does look good in black, what colour you thinking of changing it to?

Ano bazz a few of my mates like it in black as they havnt seen one before, was thinking off going red are the sr blue, choosing a colour is harder than I thought

mate why mk2 it? get GTE kit, paint them up and get them on, will look phat, then get some nice seats and save up for a better engine.

I would keep it mk.1 if I were you, and keep the black too. and wouldnt bother welding if it doesn't need it. spend the time and money on the engine :thumb:

taking the 3 spokes back to standard silver would look good.

Cheers people for the advice :) plans for engine have changed abit and will have a update with it soon. I just want to change to mk2 as ive always wanted a mk2 nova but over here is a nightmare to get, Ill see what happens in a few weeks about the front as it has a sr front bumper on it now and sr rear spoiler ready to go on. Yes 3spokes will be going silver again as I hate the look off them in black
