What's the law on these? Can I remove my front sidelights and run these instead? Or do I have to my front side lights as well if I choose to run them? Basically kicking around a couple of ideas, and want to know what's what.

Keep kicking, and aim for the bin.
DRL's on a Nova. ****ing serious? :/
As far as the letter of the law goes, I believe that you need an older type Audi A4 or Renault Scenic, about £50 and a hole in the head.

you are wrong. any modification should be to make your Nova happy, not you. such a selfish man.
Thats like spray painting your pet dog just because you prefer a change of colour.
I'm against spraypainting dogs.

I'm sure it will look great, and modernise your vehicle in the best possible way.
This might be of some use.

"Check out that Nova! Is it a 13 plate? It looks so modern!"
"It must be new, it has DRL's. Maybe they still make them in Mexico?"

Finally something useable. Thank you. As for the rest of you... Don't like the idea... Don't put a comment. :wall:
Afaik, you have to have sidelights as a separate unit, and the DRL's must run separately from the side/rear lights as theyre front only things arent they!
Not on my scania they ain't lol, oh and it doesn't have sidelights
All the rear sidelights and side markers are on all the time, must be on the winter setting for Sweden !

I can't say that daytime running lights are my kind of thing but fair play for doing what you want regardless of what others think, it's far easier and safer just to do what is generally accepted (XE, Speedlines etc...).
I've been in this guys situation more than a few times, ok the majority like the stuff but I still get slated for it.
Old example (2001): Narrow band white LED's in the side skirts:
