3.Switched ignition live= somewhere in engine bay loom?

What Nova loom do you have?

Mk1 saloon mate, 1984. Some of the wires are different to the ones in my 1988 hatch same but different.

An I right in thinking I don't even need to chop into the wiring inside the car?

Like connect the dash temp gauge to the existing one in the engine bay?

Same as for revs etc

I have 6 dial clocks.

They were names of people who I knew had done/had conversions of this type, no need for a smart **** reply

So have you got an answer for Dan that will help, you usually have an answer that's helpful regarding a conversion!

1.? what colour is the inner wire?
2.Ecu live= direct to battery CORRECT
3.Switched ignition live= you can connect this to the black wire on your ignition barrel (use electric tester to make sure which is the switched live)

No clue about these?

1. one of the knock sensor plugs
2. for now don't worry about plug 2 and 3
3. see above

Thanks Dave appreciate that, I managed to get it started up yesterday :D took a few try's but it starts first turn of the key,

Still miles away from finishing thow as It needs plumming up etc,
I also want to do something with the wiring loom as I manage to break the rear plastic L peice which gutted me slightly.

Thanks for all the help lads!

i was ploughing thru my old omega manual, for the wiring & it seems the black & green connectors are so the ecu can send info to the aircon/abs auto box etc. i think you should be ok ignoring most of them
