Hi all.

I know it's not a nova related question, but it's vauxhall and most nova guys a vauxhall guys so tend to know a lot about other vauxhalls etc.

I have a 2001 1.6 petrol zafira

The abs light has started to come on the dash. When I start the car it isn't on, it comes one after about 5 minutes of driving.
I did the pedal fault code check but soon realised this doesn't show abs fault codes.

Can someone please tell me how and where I check for abs fault codes?
Is there a light on the abs ecu or something? And where will I find it?

Thank you.

Iirc the sensor is in the wheel hub and bearing, get to a scrapers for a low mileage wreckage IMO. You'll need it to pass an mot.

The fault will need clearing though

It will clear though if his part is okay wont it?

If it's just the sensor then the fault will clear.

New bearing pack, about £30 new for the front. Three bolts.

I was hoping there was a free way of reading the codes.
My mate offered me his snapon reader earlier but I refused because I thought it would only read the engine ecu fault codes?

He told me to remover the battery terminals and touch them together and refit them.
It's cleared the codes so I can get the mot done.
I will take the car back to his when the light comes back on and see what his reader throws up.

I'm guessing there's 4 of those hub sensors? So I need to find out which one is knickered so I don't waste money,,,

Thank you for your replies :)

Just look under the car and see if any of the wires are broken (common)
