cant figure out how to get the bugger out without bending the induction sensor casing.

as far as I can tell from the Haynes diagram, it looks like the drive dog assembly can be removed from one end to allow you to slide the main shaft out from the other side, to gain access.

any ideas how to do this ?

im trying to picture one.

is there a compression washer holding the actuator arm after its hooked through the adv/ret mechanism?

nah, no washer topside, the arm is slid straight thru.

I figured it out !!

if you slide a flathead screwdriver inbetween the main arm of the advance unit and its actuator arm and twist, the 2 pieces separate apart almost an inch, and the arm pings out of its prison

next mission is to try and find a new unit

all its got is 14.5 written on it, does that mean anything to anyone ?

that is probably the vacuum pressure it works at ot the amount of vac advance it can pull. I presume the former.

14.5 PSI = 1 bar = atmospheric pressure at sea level so i would guess at full vacuum the actuator would travel full range.

but this is just a guess.
