As per. Worth it vs re-paint? Approx cost for a medium sized hatch? what's it keep like? Anyone know anywhere decent that does it? What's the bodywork have to be like for it to cover? Anyone had it done? :)

Look in my project thread and you'll see how mine is :)

I did it myself with a mate and was the first time using it. Pretty easy stuff to work with, just heat up and squeegee. Novas are great because the panels are flat and all the trim and windows come out easy. Would cost around £100-150 in material.

I think it looks great. I'd get a more expensive vinyl next time so it's more glossy but other than that it's very hard to tell its wrapped. Paint will always be better IMO but this is easy and cheap and you can replace panels without having to respray the car.

I wouldn't pay a grand or whatever for somebody to do it and I wouldn't do it on a genuine clean example of a nova but if you did it yourself then it's worth it. Make sure any rust or marks are sorted first because it will show through, scratches you'll get away with though.

It's more than a grand now... But then the decent film can be upto £100 per sqm !

definitely worth it. There's no way you would guess it was a car. perfect for Christmas or Birthdays.

Cover your ride all over the outside
Take pride in the fact that your paint aint fried
Easy to apply, just do it in pieces
Take your time and you'll get no creases

Oh, wrap with a W. Apologies.

How about Plastidip? I was reading about it, and a guy reckons he done an A4 saloon for about 70 quid.

Never seen any in person.

Seems a viable option if you're just after a quick and cheap tidy-up though.

Get it painted, vinyl is a nightmare to keep clean and will look tired after a year.

Forgive my eyes here, but that is a Mitsuibishi L200... Not a landy 90 ;) lollollol

On topic, I haven't had any experience in Vanilla Ice rapping wrapping so I can't say it's good idea or bad. Some interesting things on the net though.

Can't say I'd go for it, surely stone chips etc would be a problem?
