View Full Version : F13 hydraulic clutch conversion
Is this easy to do?
Worth it?
What parts are needed?
Edd
The main question is why?
No idea, that's why I'm asking

The actuation side of it should be straight forward as it can be lifted off any car with it on. The pedal side would probably be the hardest part adapting it to the original.
Bit of a waste of time imo and will only add weight to the vehicle. They are not a heavy clutch so see no benefit. Plus you will lose the characteristic Nova clutch squeak :)
Agreed, unless its for a heavy duty motorsport clutch/pedal box etc its an absolute waste of time, money and effort in all honesty.
Re the pedal squeak-lol its a Vauxhall thang I always greased mine as it annoyed me!
Just seen a couple threads/pics with Vectra bits fitted into F10/13's and wondered what it's all about really

I think hydraulic makes for a lighter clutch so ideal for big engined or shopping trolley type cars. They are good on track cars so you can site the pedal box wherever you like.
Something we are currently considering as we want to go pedal box and ditch the cable clutch
We currently have a Quaiffe F13 so it is merely a case of getting a hydraulic release bearing from a later F13 and fitting/piping back to the bottles ???
Cheers chaps
Just for anybody searching in future

You can use an external slave cylinder from a Daewoo.
I may do this to my let as the clutch cable comes through tight to the inlet manifold and I've snapped a few now
