Cheap track car, Accident damaged, spares/repair, non-runner. pos XE?

Hello chaps.

After going to the ring last weekend I am looking for a little bit of a change, I am looking at getting rid of my Impreza and buying something a little more nimble.

I am after something cheap, possibly accident damaged, unfinished project, MOT failure or just generally needing some love.

I would ideally like something with a little bit of grunt so unfortunately a 1.0/1.2 just will not be up to the task at hand.

I am hoping to get back out to Germany for the mid part of September so am looking at something before then.

Price wise I have an absolute max of £800.

Does not necessarily need to be Vauxhall related, 106/205/206 GTI , 172 cup (budget will increase in accordance obviously).

Got an accident damaged Mk1 Nova...any good? Needs chassis leg pulling out...bit of work on front panel n wing fitting...Has 1.6 in which is **** tbh but have a 1.4 with 1.6 GTE head on if of any interest or for the right price can throw in a bare x16xe :)
