went walking up in the peaks early on this morning in search of this, despite what i'd read on finding it was pretty straightforward

wow, quite a lot of it still there, although i'm surprised that is actually is and the pikeys haven't weighed it in yet..!

its up on bleakmoor, its about an hour's easy walking to get there across moorland and boggy heather, and theres no real footpath within half a mile of it.

Wow, thats interesting reading, such a shame that it lists the crew as having completed their tour and were three days away from going home when they died!

I wouldnt mind going for a look up there myself, is it possible to ride up there Asa, i dont do walking so its mtb for me lol

A lot of veterans go up there every year and lay wreaths on rememberance day. Very sad & eerie place.

you can do, i found tyre tracks not too far away, just have to be selctive over some of the ground you ride over. park on the snake pass, walk north on the pennine way for a few miles, then head west (ish) across the tops
