You have to take your time setting the rose jointed one up

Something you'll never have enough patience for I would think

One of the best mods you can do when it's working tho

I bought one already done and modded for the f28, was built including a quick shift linkage

Must have equipment IMO so much better over standard.

i dont want to say this but..... since building and fitting my RJ linkage and nylon bushes i havent missed a gear in 30+ 1/4mile pass's where as with the stock one it was 1 in 5 maybe, mine jumps out of gear in reverse but i dont need that too much hehe and just hold it in when i have to reverse on a incline

Alex, I made one and it took a while to set up. I had to constantly take it off and adjust/grind/file it. However, it makes all the difference and is worth doing. I don't mind sharing some of the lessons I learnt if you want?
Its cheaper to make them yourself (if you have the tools and patience) since theres a few man hours involved, but I could be persuaded to make one for you.

You can spend literally hours getting a modified / bespoke linkage / lever to sit right at rest.

Although it may seem the new bits won't allow 5th and reverse, chances are it will if you make ever so slight adjustments to the lever before nipping that last bolt up.
