Magnificent. Would have bought this from eBay if I had the space (how many other people thought that), a perfect GTE?
What actually needed doing to complete? It looked so close to ready I found it hard to understand why the PO didn't finish and sell a complete car rather than a project.
Let me know if selling. ;)

^^haha^^ really liking this car tho
Dave im the same mate not normally into those style wheels but they dont half make the car, suit it quite well, the headlights have been lined up properly now and are sitting sweet, the tow strap is for the track i did a sprint day in it on monday, thanks for the comments!Ill not be selling it anytime soon, ive got it to keep, the engine is currently half stripped to fit my r1 bike carbs and manifold up.
To finished it needed paint, the cage putting in properly and basically just putting back 2getha, once the carbs are on i will be adding a few subtle touches, gm task disc holder, carbon fibre post covers and then a kent cam. Hoping for around 140 bhp

What can you say about the engine? standard 1.6, tuned 1.6 or perhaps something more "big"...
Mike B GTE
17-07-13, 05:40 PM
It was just a standard 1.6 8v with a piper exhaust and 4 branch, and some shiny bits: samcos etc. but believe its now getting r1 bike carbs and a Kent cam?

About 80ish on the front, and 95 on the rear. Tight squeeze with those 7j rims.
Yes its standard gte engine atm with stainless zorst and 4 branch, now gettin kent cam chucked in, ported and polished head, r1 bike carbs im not a believer of rippin the original engine out a love the engine note of the gte, its got polished header tank, full samco hose kit, ive got original indicators on the way and griffin bonnet sticker also polished catch tank

Plans for it sound amazing. I've found a load of anodised red/ black bolts, nuts and washers in the toolbox if you want me to send them down to you. I'm really happy that she's being finished to this standard, I put a lot of work into her over the 6 years ownership, and was sorry to see her go.
Yes mate if you can send them that would be awesome, just ordered short shift kit for it and carbon fibre side skirts and front and back splitter, have fitted standard orange indicators to it now aswel and fitting two new cv boots and ball joint, front arches are getting heated and pulled out slightly cos there catching but i dont want to raise it up
