For sale Vauxhall Nova 1.6 Track Car
This car was originally a 1.2 nova sting however as of summer last year I converted it to a 1.6 track car. Car has done approximately 4000 miles since the rebuild.

12 Months MOT
4 Months TAX
Engine – Fully rebuilt 4000 miles ago
· E16se block with 0.5 overbore, new pistons and rings
· New water and oil pump
· Reground crank shaft with new bearings all round
· ARP conrod bolts
· New starter motor
· New gaskets all round
· Block and cylinder head have been skimmed to increase compression ration
· Ported and professionally cleaned cylinder head
· Solid lifters
· New followers
· Kent motorsport cam shaft
· New stainless inlet and outlet studs
· New sportex full exhaust system with heat wrapped 4 branch manifold and polly mounts
· Solid engine and gearbox mounts
· Motorsport HT leads
· Lucas sport coil
· New ally rad and slimline fan
· Rebuilt twin 40 webber carbs and ally inlet
· Farcet fuel pump
Transmission
· F13 box – no whines or knocks
· Motorsport paddle clutch
· M-tech short shift linkage
· New CV boots
Brakes
· 2.0L 16v Astra front brakes (caliper rebuild + new pads and discs approx. 4000 miles ago)
· New rear shoes as of 10 miles ago (required for MOT)
· Full stainless steel brake lines (front and rear)
· Racing brake fluid
· GTE brake servo
Suspension
· Bilstein B10 suspension front and rear lowered 60mm at front and 40mm at rear. I’ve tried a number of different setups on the car and have found this to be the best handling by far.
· Front and rear omp strut braces
· Front and rear anti roll bar
· Solid top mounts
· Polly bushed all round
Chassis
· Seam welded engine bay
· Fibreglass front wings
· All brackets removed from interior
· All sound deadening removed
· Small amounts of surface rust in the usual nova places however a clean shell considering the age.
Interior
· QSP fibre glass bucket seats, very light weight and very comfy (note drives seat is snug)
· OMP 3 point harnesses, fitted with approved FIA plates
· OMP medium dish steering wheel with detachable boss
· Half roll cage
· Internal fuel and brake lines
· Lightweight race battery fitted to rear passenger foot well.
· Fuel and fan switch. Battery cut off switch also fitted
A few bad bits
· Very slight oil leak from sump gasket (passed MOT with leak) easy to fix, just haven’t got round to fixing it.
· Surface rust in places
· Due to the car being stripped out and fitted with a race engine please be aware its loud and not quite as smooth as your standard 1.2 Nova J
On the plus side, the car drives really well and the engine is spot on! It’s also pretty quick.
