Light switch works electric boot release !!!!

The light switch is working the boot release and some of the back lights but not in the right way. And the front lights don't work at all even the hazards !!?!? What could t be ??

Have you trapped a wire under any of the plastic covers or screwed through a wire and earthed it out on the car

I will have to check the dash has come out and gone back in so maybe :/

The headlight switch on a mk1 can be plugged in upside down melting the earth

But the front indicators don't work either and the hazards on do the back. But every time the hazards/ indicators flash the boot latch goes !! Lol

unplug all the lights and try it and if it still pops the boot then it's wiring
