hi all

i bought a compressor for spares and repairs (£50) on the basis that "how much can be wrong with it"

the model in question is http://www.clarkedistributors.ie/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=64

the problem is it keeps blowing fuses and tripping the house electrics. It doesnt even start

so far i have , emptied water from tank, checked release valve and checked wiring for any noticeable problems.
there does seem to be a burnt smell coming from the unit.

i have hand turned the fan and it seems to be doing as it should, it also needs a set of air filters which i have sourced.

just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction, maybe i paid too much but i'd like to get it working.

cheers

Lewis

Burnt out motor - possible if it trips your electrics and would account for the smell

Can you strip it down and look at the condition of it?
