I need all your help!!!

On the 4th of June I has my two nine year old Labrador dogs taken from Nr Barnard Castle in the North East, the week before Appleby Gypsy Fair. They are very distinctive as one has a purple right eye, he is blind in that eye(picture taken before his operation). The darker one has a scar on his right cheek/nose. Both are very fit, no fat at all, and look younger than they are. They are both uncut..

My wife and I are totally devastated and just want them back, I would ask you all to share on facebook, with your children, and if possible put up a poster, especially if you live near a Gypsy area. my contact is 07976 208650, or 07971 629053. There is a very large reward for their return!!!

So sorry to hear this Charlie. Unfortunately, it is beoming all too common!

I will spread the word, as I am sort of local to you.

My parents have their caravan on a site in West Auckland, and know a few people in the area.
I will pass this information on to them.

there is LOADS of this happening down here aswell, ill post your advert on my facebook wall and get people to share it. i got my dog back via facebook after he went missing via a local buy and sell facebook page, post it up on as many as you can, mine was found 7 miles from home, hope this helps

There has been a man up the old racecourse in richmond asking about dogs and where they live and being kept,by all accounts he is very dodgy looking.:mad:

An awful situation, and I can only sympathise as I know what my black lab means to me.

Best of luck finding them - and don't give up.

If it were me, I would try the travellers sites in the area - you just never know, as they usually have everything on display you may just strike lucky.

Equally, it may be worth finding someone influential from within the travelling community and on the basis you put a reward for the safe return and a promise of no questions or comebacks you may just have some luck as money talks.

I met with billy Walsh from the my big fat gypsy wedding program.offered him a load of money. He promised he would get them back if it was gypsy's he explain gypsys are different to travelers

That's encouraging, as given your location/time of year (Appleby Horse Fair) it is a fair chance there is a link.

May be worth looking at freeads/gumtree/breeding sites too; all stuff I am sure you have done and posted wanted ads for a female mature lab.

Theres a traveller fair happening in the next week round here,will keep my eyes peeled.
IF its been taken by somebody at that fair,theres a strong chance may be at this one.
It might not even be travellers,sadly theres people who do this stuff all over
