20xe oil pump change thread help pleeeez

anyone got or no were theres a thread on how to change a oil pump on a 20xe ???
what has to come off
is it a pain in the ass ect ect

Is the engine in the car or out?

If its in then unfortunately a big job. Remove exhaust manifold, sump and oil pickup pipe. Crack off the mega tight e20 bottom pully bolt. Remove aux belt and outer cam belt cover, then slacken belt, Bottom pulleys off, belt off, backing plate off. Oil cooler lines off if it has them, remove 7 or 8 bolts holding the pump onto the block and off it comes.

Refit in reverse order to the correct torque settings, refill with oil and new filter, then take the coil lead off and crank over a few times before re-connecting and starting the engine.

Set aside a good half day though I would.

to undo the e20 nut is it clock wise or anticlock wise ??
