Goes the gte have a steering lock so when the key is not in u turn the wheel an it locks ??

I wonder mine aint that any ideas ??? I think it was working before I replaced the incidator holder unit for a corsa one but that has nuffin to do I would fort it . Seems strange

if you remove the surrounding plastic parts and the stalk switch, to give you some room, you might be able to see the barrel, to check if the locking block is engaging properly when you spin the wheel.

if you cant see it, you should be able to hear it click in

the key needs to be removed fully for it to work

im pretty sure you get a good look at it with the lock removed.

2mm allen key in the small forward facing hole with the cowling removed and key on second click. That will remove the barrel.

Well ive start working on the nova again . After spending some saved up money an selling some rc boats im back in business
so far ive managed to pick up a full mk1 dash in really good nick . Front set of head light. The rear support shelfs an parcel shelf
still on the look out for bottom try shelf for the mk1 dash an the clamp unit for the rear seats
Well anyways . Last couple of days ive been taking the gte apart once again as im putting it in a friends body shop to have it complete repainted an all the rot taken out where I missed the first time round an of course put it right this time
ive got some pictures to upload of what happening .but over the coming months more will get done.
Need to find a couple of place to rebuild an cover the front seats and of course new door cards
also on a very good note managed to find a untouched gte loom with no brakes or connectors missing off it
