Laptop battery help

Right prob a noob question but my laptop battery has died. Had a look through ebay and different sorts.

Can I use an higher mAh battery? And what's difference between 6cells and 9cells does this matter too.

As long as the voltage is the same I think it will be fine. 9 cell is normally a longer life, I had a 6 cell and optional 9 cell long life battery for my Dell. Mah is the life span of the battery afaik

I'd get the same voltage and number of cells, just a higher mah for more powahzzz

make sure the voltage and amp is the same or you might damage the charger or the motherboard - youll get a longer runtime from a higher milliamp
