Just try sanding it then going over it with finer and finer paper, I sanded my alloys with 240 grit then 400 and then moved on to steel wool and they came up great

Go on ebay, spend £20 on a polishing kit, read the instructions/watch how to guides on youtube and go for it oh and get some wet and dry on it 1st if it has pitted to get it smooth i went from 800-1000-2000 and thej polished on a ally rocker cover a few years back

Couldn't tell you about that, I just know what I've done before that's all lol, can't go wrong with the steel wool either way I'd say

Scotchbrite is easier than wet & dry on a shaped object and they do it in different grades. Go from coarse if required down to fine then polish with metal polish

Buffing wheels would be a good idea too

Green scrubby (scotchbrite) from the supermarket. Then a metal polish compound from hell frauds. Win

grey is the finer Scotchbrite. The stuff from the supermarket is crap as it leaves green bits everywhere.
