256 won't fit, they're tight/don't fit some 14's

236x20 like the mk1 astra, mk2 cav are only fit for scrap these days

corsa b ATE. calipers are the way to go.

sorry stu, i didn't put enough info in, the delco 236 vents are worse than 236 delco non vents, cos they have larger piston sizes & the brake feels terrible, if they aren't seized already.

the 236 ATE vents were also fitted to a lot of astra mk3 diesels too.

Why on earth people are still running such sizes is beyond me

I had to run a 5mm spacer till the pads wore down on my sr steels

Unless you go for 256x20mm Corsa GSi brakes.

256 diameter is too big for 13's. (thread op says 13's) 256x20 will go under sr alloys/steels but 14".

yep calibra discs are 256x24mm, corsa gsi uses 256x20mm, and the smaller ate calipers.

Yeah, Corsa GSi uses same caliper bodies as the 236x20mm brakes but with a different carrier to push them further out to 256mm.

so the 5.5 width is good enough for a part-worn 24mm, but the 13 inch rim is limited to 236 disc.

in which case, its either corsa sport brakes, or fit bigger rims.

cheers guys :thumb:

Regardless if the width of the 13's, you will have to run 236 (corsa sport) brakes. 24mm is the width of calibra 256 discs which won't fit under 13's. we got a little off 13" topic.

what are the corsa sport brakes like ? im guessing they share the GTE and GSI disc and pads, but a better caliper ?

as ive got 256x20 on my car, taken from a tigra, and I think there crap in comparison to the ATE x24mm versions.

infact.. there not much different to the 236 setup I had on previously.

what does everyone think of the different setups ?
