What is your biggest / Proudest car moment to date?
Could be a mag feature or just completing that engine conversion.

Handbrake turn in front of a copper or speeding towards a panda car in the cruising days, who flagged me down and said "If I was a traffic cop I could have done you for speeding there." I said "well it's a good job you're not." then drove off.
Or another time when they turned up and were showing off their new 5 Series. Someone asked why they don't need to wear seat belts. "We're exempt." Was the answer.
"You aren't from going through the windscreen though." was my reply.
Not exactly proud moments, but ones that make me lol

Can I add giving my old Nissan death, in an icy car park, then pulling up alongside the mk3 Fiesta that had also been giving it some, only to have the little $hit ask where I had nicked mine from?
I looked in his, and sure enough, the cowling was smashed off and it was hot-wired.
I had been giving mine way more stick. lol

probably wiring up a complete spaceframed 480bhp turboed hyabussa mini, it being in a mag and going to rockingham for the photoshoot, also working in ireland on a number of turboed hyabussa cars and also helping MK (the kitcar people) with problems they were having with mbe management.....happy days!:d

Overtaking a undercover Omega MV6 in my XE nova on the A39, which then turned the blues on, which is when I realized it was undercover lol
Then keeping him at a gap of 500ish meters for 5/6 miles, then disappeared down some lanes, reversed up on some random persons drive, lights off and watched him fly by lol the pursuit speeds were crazy lol
Wasn't so funny when they caught up with me few weeks later, went over the car with a fine tooth comb and condemned it lol had to get my mate to transport it back to my mums as coppers said it wasn't allowed back on the road

Tootling along at 130 in my cav gsi years ago only for the passenger to notice blue lights quite a way behind, so I slowed to 60 and he pulled me over . First thing he said was " ive been following you for 6 miles and I was doin 100 and you were still pulling away.to which I was very apoligetic lol , he then got a call to a domestic so just said keep it under a ton and drove off lol. Oh the daft things u do as a nipper lol
Or overtaking a octavia under cover flat out last year going the cinema in me 106 gti. Needless to say we missed the film lol
But staying on topic prob doing a zetec conversion on a mk1 fez when the conversion was still very much unheard of

Yep all counts - I was getting at car builds / owns but it seems to have gone off on a amusing tangent ;)

Edd, haha at least it wasn't impounded though
I passed a cop car flat out in 4th so around 130 or so got pulled over to find he was on his own so after a we telling off I was free to go lol

Mine wasn't in my nova lol
Another 'moment' was about 15 years ago in my SR, picked up some dirty lady I was fcuking at the time, parked up in a lay by, was bollock deep in the bird on the back seat, coppers pulled up along side, banged on the window and asked what I was doing!!! WTF does it look like I'm doing I replied lol asked me to stop and move on ffs lol

I remember providing the shell for the rebuild lol
I got pulled for racing a paxo vts in my old nova xe, he had been in a left turn only lane next to me, sparked off some abusive conversation after he laughed at my ****box nova, i replied with something along the line of "it will dust your sorry ass piece of **** yoghurt pot anyday"
Got pulled by a copper in a t5 about five mins later as he was two streets away and heard my exhaust from there, saxo boy bailed and i got pulled, 90 on the wrong side of a road at 11pm on a saturday night, i got my keys removed and told i wouldnt be needing them anymore, he picked up a huge book to throw, then got called away on an armed response call, i took the nova off the road a week later as i was too stupid to own it at the time, i wouldve been dead or banned had i not, im sure!
Another nova related one, we all used to park up down a dead end street in the town centre bitd, and the coppers decided to block the end with riot vans, and ticket/crawl all over everyones cars, that werent parked legally/in bays (we all used to park all over, or four abreast and take the entire street up and the cops were fed up of it/complaints from the flats at one end about exhaust noise and shouting and the like as it was almost like a mini cruise most nights of the week, and i joke not)
I waited till they had got to the other end, after pointing out my car as one of the ones that was going to get done/crawled all over, then i jumped in my trusty 1.2 nova, and squeezed through the tightest of gaps behind one of the riot vans and the crash barrier on the corner, and buggered off, drove by flat out with my choons blaring out on the main road the other side of the dead end road, apparently the copper who'd pointed out mine as one the be ticketed/checked over, muttered that i was a lucky w4nker, as he hadnt noted my reg lol
middle of newbury to portsmouth ferryport, after being stuck in an almighty traffic jam, to go on my honeymoon, in under 40mins, in a £200 custard coloured 1600 b reg maestro, before the newbury bypass was even thought about. i have genuinely never driven a car as hard as i did that day. my mrs was on cop lookout, we made it, and were sitting in the boat & i still couldn't get my hands off the wheel, i was mentally & physically shattered..

Rebuilding a engine including doing the valves and nothing went wrong and is still going strong

Well then, dragging the Huayra kicking and screaming into production (in terms of the body electronics, hvac and radio)
The body electronics and Powertrain control of the delta ev
Starting off some body electronics for a Malvern based car builder.
And tbh my proudest achievements are the transit and defender, despite people hating the engine and sensors lol

Winning the Btrda bronze star for autotesting in a nova, when it was almost impossible to win it because of mini"s ;)

I once went to buy a 1.6 8v engine from a bloke, it was in his bath in the multi storey block of flats with no lifts he was a big lad so he managed it down the stairs

Selling the cav for a great price and realising that actually, as much as I thought I'd regret selling it, I don't actually miss it one bit.

Making it home from Manchester in a Cav GSi in 45 mins with 2 drop offs. Scary times, the hard shoulder was used, but the work lads were home I time to watch England play in the World Cup, years ago. I must have been 18-22 ish.(30 now :()

I just put a new oil pump water pump and belt kit on my c20let engine, fair enough it's on an engine stand so it was a piece of piss but I'm no mechanic, a joiner by trade. Maybe not my greatest moment but am well chuffed.

When a bus is converted from a passenger carrying vehicle to a transporter like that, what licence do you need!
With seats out and bed/kitchen area, it was classed as a motor home by dvla and could allegedly be driven on a standard licence! Although I suspect it was overweight. Regardless of this it still 30 odd feet long and a bit of a handful. Good times :)

Woke up morning after winning it with a bit of a hangover, thought I'd dreamt the whole thing till I logged on the computer! Missus was understandably delighted :)
Nova related I have two...... First would be winning the vboa billing best modified with k767hua especially when I had Benn and his awesome motor as competition!...... Second would be just managing to get a6vxl complete in time for billing a couple of years back and hear all the random awesome comments it was getting whilst I was stood close by listening!

Drive home from billing in the loon with spud and getting thumbs up as I passed a 911 turbo at a silly speed (not sAying) what on a pubic forum after sticking to his ass upto that speed wi spud wondering what the feck was happening lol

Get my car featured in a mag, getting praised by people i look up too in the world scene, the fact people like and enjoy what i do.

Finishing 3rd overall 1st in class 1st front wheel drive car on the 1995 Tour of Mull with my brother driving in a MK2 Astra GTE with a standard engine 150ps,
The car that finished 4th overall was a exworks Stig Blomqvist Nissan GTI-R whose Exhaust cost more that our whole car (£4000).

Rebuilding my LET engine, going only on info I've learnt through forums! And building my nova! Still in progress.
Quite pleased with myself when one night I was sat in layby when I see a car coming towards me with no lights on (it was dark) but lit by street lights!!
So I frantically flashed the oncoming car!! Only to find as it came along side me it was actually a copper :D
He turned around, and came back, pulling up next to me, put his window down and said 'what's your problem!!!' Why are you flashing me!!!!!!
I replied.
You've not got your lights on!!!
He looks into his dash for a while...... Turned his lights on, put his window up, and without another word pulled away!! :D :D
