No, square port is a later spi type.

All e16 se & c16se heads are round port

Ok so that's a 1.6 spi head then out of a cav or astra?
How do you identify c16 head then please?

the c16se has a coilpack iirc, the e16se & c16se block & head are the same but the c16se cam carrier obviously has a blanking plate for the lack of dizzy.

You sure thats a 1.6 spi head?

I thought all the injection models had EGR?

unless im wrong and SPI doesnt have it.

The E16 head and C16 are different due to the E16 using an EGR and the C16 not having one,

And at that its only the internal passageways to recirculate the exhaust gasses on the E16 head.

I wasnt aware the c16se didnt have EGR. I always assumed the later ones would have had it since there were stricter emissions.

On the first head, what are the three additional holes between the ports, is that the EGR holes?

The C16 had a catalytic converter aswell as lambda sensor so the ECU controlee the emissions much better than the E16, IMO it's better than the E16, certainly runs far better in the wet and my E16 dizzy hated the rain with a passion lol
