i think its a victim of the times & its own success....

supercars are getting more like really fast, predictable, reliable production cars..

production cars look more like each other now..

they have done some extraordinary adventures over the years, but are running out of new places to go, where they aren't already famous..

Was very disappointed with last couple of series, top gear USA is much better to watch. Will prob watch it still though as nothing else ever on. Lol

I stil watch it, but mostly out of habit now. It can be decent enough sometimes.
If you treat it as Last of the Summer Wine with cars, that is.

TG USA is a good shout. The second 'season' was very good.

As for Fifth Gear, I rarely watch that, but when I do, I usually find at least one feature of interest to me.
The last one I saw had Jonny going all out, drifting the Gatebil M5. That was awesome/I've always wanted to visit there.

Fifth gear is a better car show. TG is only worth watching for the road trips

There are no 'new' sports/super/hypercars out that they can get their hands on in reality (the laugherarri and P1 are too new etc). I fear the worst, but will still watch it anyway lol

It wont top last series, when some crazy italians cheated their way to the top of the board lol

I am a road trip fan, too (studio craic and car reviews I can take or leave). Hence the American challenges being fantastic.

its more about them than the cars ... 5th gear do proper tests , but you cant beat Harris on Cars on Pistonheads and youtube

Harris on Cars on Pistonheads and youtube

Chris Harris is a likeable bloke, and his reviews are great. Pistonheads is full of Audi driving bell ends who know SFA about how a car works, on the whole though, imo.

I still find it enjoyable and funny, as alot have said the road trips are a great bit.
Never like 5th gear, found it boring.

TG usa i found very good the few ive seen, them doing the moon shine run was funny as funk. In big caddys and stuff...

Top gear has become too 'staged'. Captain slow always gets a car that has 'electric' problems, Clarkson always has a car where a door falls off, they need to get back to how it used to be when they started the road trips.
