Hi, since my nova has been standing for nearly a year its now not starting.

I pulled the plugs out and they were all oiled up so cleaned them, cleaned the rotor arm and cap (as they had furred up) and then it started but only ran for a few seconds and then died and the plugs had oiled up again.

Have i missed anything obvious? any ideas?

its a 1.2 single point injection engine.

If the car is turning but not starting, are the plugs not covered in fuel? If there is no fuel going in you may be getting a little oil due to the compression?

They don't smell of fuel just of oil. The issue started the other day when i had to move her to my new house and she was missfiring and number 4 plug was oiled so cleaned it up and drove her with a slight missfire now again for about 5 miles. And now its all four plugs.

Can the stem seals be done with the head on or is it a head off job?
