oil pressure gauge reading 110 psi ??? why

just fitted a electric oil pressure gauge its reading 110 psi bt before I fitted it i tested the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge and it read 4.5-5.0 bar witch is normal I think ????? the new gauge is a electric gauge ? could the new gauge be faulty ??

Have you fitted a sender unit?

I used my old one cos they had forgot to send me a part tht connects new sender to the engine block
