F 15 gearbox

I have a f15 gearbox here with c 3.94 stamped on the end casing am I correct in thinking this is a short ratio box

Close ratio, yes. Final drive is for better top end. 4.18:1 FD would be better for accelleration

Basically this is the same as the CR f13 gearbox as I had one fitted on my C16xe, I loved it but don't expect too much at the top end.

It's gonna be fitted to a c16xe track toy so I'm no worried about top speeds at lower revs. Just want a box that'll complement me thrashing the life out of the nova now and then lol
