The time has come to sell my beloved nova, i need a more practical car to do my new commute and i feel its unfair to load the miles on a car in such good condition.
i shall start with the basics, i bought the car 2 years ago from an old lady who had it for quite some time when i bought it the car had 70'000 miles on it and since then i changed the clocks so it has done roughly 80-90k now
the car is now running a 1.6 16v engine out of a corsa which has a powerbox fitted aswell as a 4 branch manifold and it does pull well, as the car is so light. i havnt got round to changing the log book yet so this will be up to the new owner. the engine was on 70'000 miles when i bought it last month
The new engine had the cambelt and water pump and thermostat changed before it went in
I have changed pretty much everything on the car since i bought it, which makes it so hard for me to sell as it has had alot of my time and effort below is a list of the spec
1.6 16v engine (x16xe)
Powerbox
4 branch manifold
Gsi (unpainted) front bumper
Gsi skirts in black
MPI fuel pump
Sr seats front and back which as you can see from the pics is in very good condition
fully adjustable Gaz rear coilover
Pro sport front coilovers
Quick rack steering rack
Mountney steering wheel
2.0 16 Front brakes with brand new disks and pads
Cesaro wheels with 4 good tyres
Hid headlight kit
GSI clocks
GSI spoiler
New radiator
Full Sportex exhaust which is rather loud to be honest
f13 5 speed gearbox (Accelerates very hard)
10 months MOT
5 months tax
As you can see from the pics the rear arches are VERY clean and have never been welded.
the rear sill has had a small plate welded in.
I have had 5 novas so i know this is a solid shell the chassis legs are solid as are the sills and boot floor.
The nearside rear wheel bearing will need replacing shortly as its starting to make a noise.
the front doorcards have been cut for speaker holes which really lets the inside of the car down as it was a tempory measure while i had some made up but i never got around to doing so.
Overall this is a very clean example of a nova and has been looked after well and had anything it needed doing to it. i will be very sad to see this go.
price is £2000 and i am located south cambridge
