i ordered one when i got home,
and is my front end the snow plough one, its on the logbook as a Sr and the old man had it from new so its not a rep
also the tap is on the headlight as my mate in the other nova chucked up a stone on the motorway and smashed my light

Sunroof was optional extra and rare,
1987 was changeover year and 87 E plate cars had ploughs and bronze tint glass. The facelift was introduced for 1988 model year, but they retained grey burbury seats for 1988 before changing to rainbow in 1989.
What a stunning SR - congratulations on a great purchase. If it was me, I wouldnt do much except keep it clean. Looks great as it is!

I guess it is a tilt and turn if standard fit? They were a very expensive optional extra if I recall correctly.
Make sure the drainage channels are clear - can you not get new seals for them still?

Sounds good.
Mine is lowered 60mm and it does improve the look (in my opinion) without going over the top.

The last of the SR Snowplough Novas, keep it standard it can only make you money ;)
Cheeky I know but to get a realism of a price how much did you pay for it? No harm in asking lol

i paid £2450 alot of people seem to think i paid alittle to much but finding one in this condition and standard i was happy the car got valued back in 2011 by a classic car insurance at £3850, i was thinking 60mm on springs and shocks or a decent set of coilovers to set the suspension up nice and level, aslo how do i upload pics? thanks
Great looking car, I would say keep it standard, the SR suspension is good enough for an 1.3 and the retro look will always attract attention where as as soon as you lower it will look modified, but at the end of the day it's your car, have it the way you want it.
As for price, if it's clean, structurally solid and original, I would say that's a pretty good price you got.
Also you have the best of both worlds, snowplough and (assuming it works) the double barreled carb.
For pics, you have to put them on photobucket then copy the link and use the small icon for pictures above every box.

Empty
I hope your underseal isn't bitchamin (yes I meant to spell it like that lol) as I did this to a car, 6 months later the bitch had eaten away a lot of the original vinyl underneath and in the wheel arches, then it rusted to scrap. The owner's handbook actually says not to use bitch but I hadn't read that part....oops

My Sport had the black Waxoyl on from new, it has saved the bodywork on it well
I have used the clear waxoyl, it has no bitchamin and is great, especially for cavities, I haven't looked at the black stuff. It was a cheap make that damaged a car (can't even remember as it was 10 years ago) but it must have contained the bitchamin as it is even mentioned in the handbook.
