My MOT runs out on the 2nd. Just took it in for a test, failed on rusty crossmember, welding will be done on the 5th.

Insurance runs out on the 3rd.

Am I insured without an MOT? Can i drive it to the garage, then MOT centre without an MOT or insurance?

I dont want to renew insurance on the 3rd becuase cant get the MOT done till the 8th.

if you are driving the car to a pre arranged session at an MOT station then it is legal to drive it on the road, but only for that journey. (dont quote me on this though, I am pretty sure that is right, but not 100%!!)

There are 3 instances where u can drive a car with no MOT

1. Driving to and from a pre-booked test at a garage

2. Driving to have work done on the car at a garage of sorts in order for it to pass an mot

3. driving it back from the work b4 the test etc

YOU MUST HAVE INSURANCE AT ALL TIMES WOTEVER :D

so renew it, your only talking a week
