What sort of mpg do people get from thier xe?

The first time I worked it out I got 35 which I assumed was wrong so did it all again, this time I used just over 39 litres for 298 miles (including 45 on knockhill) and it's 34 mpg.

Seems awfully good mpg, especially considering my heavy foot?

I got 30 around town and 40 on the motorway in my old 20XE

I was getting 35mpg and my C20XE was attached to a cavalier at the time. Great engine!

Got to remember a nova weighs sod all so it ain't having to work that hard

Depends on gearbox and how you drive, I have a xe cav and I get 30 round town, but I can get high 50's on a motorway

Does it matter lol people dont build XE's because of their good MPG??!!

True, I was just surprised after driving down to knockhill, drove all the way back up and drove around here there was still fuel, unexpected
