I've been watching a lot of euro hill climb vids on YT. Kadett & Asconas running CIH power. Sound far nicer. :)

Sorry what Red Nova?
I didnt realise there was a twincam/4v head for the CIH? I got carried away thinking these things are using a trimmed down 24v Carlton/Senator head.

Thats right, They lop the back 2 chambers off a C30SE head. Seen one in a manta over here, very impressive.

I thought so, cheers for the info.
I wonder how relevant this would be for a fwd application?
the cih was the basis for the ascona & manta 400 engines... cosworth did the heads & pistons. that's why they are hard to get... as for the chopped down 6pot heads, they have been doing that for some time.. i'm guessing the new camshafts for the 4 pots must be rather expensive.
the 400 road going engines had efi & the competition ones had twin webers......

Custom cams one would assume. Not massively expensive I doubt esp if the spec is out there as opposed to needing development.
