Does anyone know the tolerances for the c16xe crank end float, there seems to be a lot of play in mine. And im getting a reading of around .008

copied from acl bearing website:

CHECK END FLOAT (THRUST CLEARANCE)

The recommended clearance differs from engine to engine though the following table provides a

good workable guide. It is advisable to check thrust clearances at both thrust faces to ensure an

accurate measurement.

Journal Diameter Recommended Clearance

50 - 70mm .10 - .15mm

(2.000 - 2.750in) (.004 - .006in)

70 - 90mm .15 - .20mm

(2.750 - 3.500in) (.006 - .008in)

90mm up .15 - .25mm

(3.500in - Up) (.006 - .010in)

Copper-Lead thrust bearings should be given slightly more clearance than whitemetal and alutin

thrusts and hard working engines should have a little more than normal duty engines, but always

within the high and low clearance figures shown.
