im thinking of making a spit for the nova to go on tomorrow, im going to remove all the seats but things like glass/doors/dash/bootlid will still be attached.... im worried it will still be too heavy though.

would also appreciate it if people could upload some pics of theirs to help me with the design.

cheers guys

Also this:

i now have my car sat on a jig/spit!

So after only a couple of hours (as its started to rain) i have taken off twice the amount i did in the 8 hours laid on the ground!
It only needs one hand to spin the car with a locking pin to hold it in place, heres where ive got up to..

This has made my life so much easier and the car might actually get done some time this year now!

I was thinking the 18+ section would've been more the place for that lol

If you build one ill give you some money to borrow it when I eventually do mine :)

Sex. Lol.

The roll-over spit I had was two separate A-frames.

Box section legs, and 'A' frame. Round tube on top, with a smaller dia tube inside of that, to allow it to pivot. Attached to more box section that picked up on the chassis legs.

I had 'mk2 mania' build mine to spec, then I welded it together.

If I was to have another, I would make it myself though.

cheers for the input guys... I chose the title name to grab attention, looks like it worked lol

I went to the steel merchants and got some 40x40 box and started make a trolly, but after seeing the first pic from southie im going to modify it to include a spit.
