My M.O.T is up in a few days and I am wondering if any of the following will make me fail...

Hazard lights do not work.
Wiper blades hang over windscreen rubber by 2 cm.
Added SRi seats to a 1 litre subframe. Rear SRi seats move about a bit.
Got blue side repeaters (on my wings)
Rust on offside front wing. Not major.
Slight rust on boot floor.
Induction kit that is not declared on insurance.

Thanks for any help. 8)

Hazard lights do not work. FAIL (mine failed on that)
Wiper blades hang over windscreen rubber by 2 cm. FAIL
Got blue side repeaters (on my wings) Do they show up orange? is so pass if not fail, even though on a mk2 u dont need side repeaters the front indicators bend round the wing so are visible.

On my hazards (mk2) try a new button, i got one from a scrappy for a quid and it worked fine after that.

Buy some smaller wiper blades.

As for the rear seats am not sure about but they shouldnt fail it if the seats are on a different subframe.

The rust probs should pass.

Induction kit will pass even if not declared on insurance. BUT declare it anyway!!!!

Hoope this helps

Cheers for the help lads

I have tried 3 different hazard switches (?25! from Vauxhall) and it has the same symptons every time. My indicators work when it's off but when you press the button to put the hazards on the green indicator light on the dash just comes on and no hazards flash on my car. Nowt. Nothing.

The light from my side repeaters is a really dull orange / blue colour but still really visible.

New wiper blades soon

electrical fault on hazards, try fixing or slipping mot guy a fiver or summit, depends who it is tbh......

erm.... seats

if they fail cause they are loose (i know wot u mean by this) then 2 options:

1. find a single rear bench and dump it in for mot, if u can borrow one or get spare old shit for free etc

2. remove the rear seats, the mot sheet will say "missing rear seats" lol but thats not a fail point ;)

rust on wing is fine

rust in boot shud be ok but get it welded up or it will rot thru to the rear slam panel and round to rear arch which is not good

blue side repeaters shud be ok, depends if the test station is picky

get some new wiper blades or borrow ur mates if u lazy ...

induction kit will be ok, mot has nothing to do with insurance its just u need to have both to drive and tax your car etc.... they dont ask to see insurance or nething when u get an mot.

wot engine u running? gte/sri/gsi? or a 1.2i

will

-Novanutter! - I only have a 1 litre at the moment

I got my original back seats so they will be going in. Got / robbed some Corsa wiper blades from my local scrappy. Only hazards left to mess with.

hazard lights=fail
wiper blades=possible fail
seats= it really depends how much they move
side repeaters= if they flash orange and bright enough there fine
rust on wing=dont matter
rust on boot floor= depends how bad if it is just surface rust youll b fine but if its rusted threw and they deside to poke a hole in it then fail most probs
induction kit=fine for mot but declare it on ur insurance
