Spotted this on the way home, just before.

It's a local car to me, but despite the lad owning it for over seven years, I have never seen it before today, or even knew it existed before I bought mine.

Now they feel common! lol Nothing like seeing your cars twin to know how yours will look on the road, though!

Seeing it, made my day. Just as many an old Escort will have for plenty other men over the years, I'm sure! lol

Now I just need that elusive sunroof seal, and I can MoT mine. :)

You know what I mean. I don't want to risk driving to the test station, and the heavens opening. That's just cos it's an old Ford and will disolve...

I also don't fancy getting a wet heed!

Sorry to burst your bubble again but ther is one that parks were i work same colour aswell but i think its a xr3i but i will have to have a propper look

There's only about 230 or so left, according to the RSOC iirc. Howmanyleft said about 100 less afaik.

So I am not worried about running into one every other day lol. It's nice to see XTN imo.

Don't confuse an XR3i with an RS1600i lol. Some people don't like it! I don't care. lol

lol I can understand that winding people up when XR3i's were commonplace, mind.

I'm jealous, too. Still yet to drive mine! lol Plus, I wish it was Sunburst red.

Condition over colour though.

Get yourself one, Baz. I am sure you have a spare space in the barn you must own to house all of those Novas! lol

I'd love a silver RS1600i. The RS1600 is (in my opinion) so much better looking than an RS Turbo.

guy on my street has a y plate rs1600 in white that hes had years and a new focus rs as well , will post pics when he next has garage door up lol

I'd love a silver RS1600i. The RS1600 is (in my opinion) so much better looking than an RS Turbo.

Silver is a superb colour for them. Second only to red for me.

I found a pretty original silver one when looking for mine, but it was a bit crispy. :(

The 16i has always looked better to me too. The S1 looks like a victim of a cheap respray - sometimes - plus they used to be everywhere.

I still remember helping my mate break a Sunburst 16i for his S2, about 12 years ago. I was gutted even then.

Guess I am just an aux light and vinyl perv. lol Plus, they remind me of an RS200 from the rear. :/

My brother had a sunburst red XR3 NOT I lol CVH on twin choke webber and 4 speed box, had RS1600i wheels ( not the turbo ones ) on it, look brilliant,

Still wish I bought a black XR3 (not i) a few years back. £300. Clover Leafs the lot.
They look great these days!

Early or late wheels on your bro's motor? lol

Early and late have just the one marked spoke, Ford stamp and the part number iirc.
The difference between them is the gap between stamp and number is larger on one type. Thicker outer rim, too.

I guess the thicker ones were from the revised cars. Madness for cars that were produced for only two years.

I bought new wheels for mine, cos they have been diamond cut in the past, and as a result, lost the part number.

Early or late, I can't remember. Late probs. Early are hard to find. Still have my unmolested spare at least. lol

Oooh my, thats a bit nice isnt it, that series one i posted pics of a while back, is back on the ramp at the same garage again funnily enough, popped the head, obviously driving like a hero lol

The is a red xr3i just down the road from me and a 4 door ghia a bit gutter the opposite way
