i was wondering if the loom in my 1.5TD was useable when it comes to transplanting either a LET or XE.

I realise I will have to sway the tanks an wire in a fuel pump and relay etc but with regards o ignition and starting?

They won't work together....well the starter would, all 2 wires that go to it

the os engine mount is in a different place on the diesel novas to the petrols aswell so conversion mounts wont fit a td shell

please put in some reading... find an isuzu 1.7td from an astra/cav mk3 then using your 1.5td as a donor for mounts, pipes etc, make it fit. you then can tune it up quite simply to make a 50mpg car that eats xe's all day long

but if you really want to fit a petrol, then you would be able to reuse the starting/charging circuit, and also recycle the fuel shutoff wire to power the ign +ve feed to the xe, then you'd need the complete xe/let engine loom
