Hi guys,
I currently run a nova sx td. She looks quite beautiful to be honest. Clean and crisp. Just re-wired her. Rebuilt the top end as the shims were funked. Modified the fuel pump and the induction and fitted a charge cooler. Turbo whistles lovely through my decat with a cherry bomb to top it off.

Today is what made my feeling stronger than ever. Had an absolute donkey of a boy pull up next to me in his xr2 screaming out his ON THE MOTORWAY I might add, " come on then, lets be having you !!! " . Then fecked off. Wish I had a LET in there just to show him a thing or two about power to weight ratio.

In the last quarter of 2012, there were 24 sx td scorned and only 11 on the road. Hence why I'm trying not to be tempted to transplant. It's soo had not to dig deep and go for it !!! And a good let is getting even harder to find as well :thumb:

XR2 or RS Turbo? If it were an XR2 than you can get the 1.5TD quite evenly matched to a standard XR2 to be honest. RS Turbo is a different story, but still - in standard form they're nothing special.

Keep the TD, great economy, rare, holds value, goes well for an old diesel engine, reliable, strong (now you know its had the top end done) etc...

I would say it was a zetec transplant as it pulled away hard and i have owned one for my sins and it never pulled as hard as that did!! No noise of a bov either. The car did look familiar to me. Think I've seen it at a cruise. Gonna investigate more ;-)
