I know nothing when it comes to car seats, I've got two front sr seats and am looking to put them in my mk2. I don't even know the first place to start, as to what I need and how to do it, any help would be appreciated?
Cheers

there should be a little flap under the front of the seat pull it up and you see to nuts undo them when they are out all you got to do is slide the seat all the way back might have to turn it a bit to get it out of the runners its not to hard and its a bit fun lol

Got that bit done but on the new seats it doesn't have the but that attaches to the runners, I tried get one seat off but only managed to slide one side off. Also the big bar at the front of the seat it held on by some sort of rivet so I have no idea how to change that over

what I do to get the seats out is hold it sort of side ways and then slide it back it should come out .

Make sure you don't hit the windscreen whilst moving the seats in and out lol

putting the sr seats in should be the same way as getting them out mate :)

But the sr seats don't have the thick bar at the front that bolts into the floor pan neither does it have the bits that clip onto the runners, it looks like it they should be bolted onto the bottom of the seat but on my seats atm them bits look like they've been welded on

I've got the subframes sent through but no bolts to attach the 2 together so having to wait for now, hopefully they might come today and I can crack on for Sunday

The best way to remove and install the sports seats when you have tbe correct runners is...

To remove, undo the two bolts at the front and the V shaped spring clip that goes int the back of the runners. Remove the headrest and slide the seat forward. Tilt the backrest forward with the rear access lever. Put one hand on the front underside of the seat, put your other hand on the back of the backrest and tilt the whole seat backwards(Do not let the backrest open up) and move it toward the rear of the car. It will now lift out. I tilt the backrest forward first to compact the seat as it comes out in its folded position.

To refit do the reverse of the above. Remember to have the seat slid forward on its runners and fold the backrest in to aid fitment.
