Anyone go to knockhill today?

Hey folks,

I took my cousins AX to knockhill today for a trackday and seen a few tidy novas on track. Was anyone on there?

Guy that I used to work with might have had his orange xe there.

There were a few red ones and a blue one iirc.
It was a ford day there today so there were plenty of cars to see between the sessions:)

I was there in my red xe 1.2i Nova.

I was rubbish in the morning, no cornering ability at all, nearly lost it several times but, the last session the track was dry and it was like driving a different car, fun!

That's true mate, did you see the black Clio in group 1? That's the idiot who was undertaking on corners and almost causing accidents. He nearly put the AX off the road!!!!

Yes, he took the car out his shed this morning affter it had lain for several years, no battery for the lcks so if you looked at it, they just bent the bonnet to get it open, says a lot. There were a few undertakers and corner takers, Did you hear them go mental over the tannoy about the behaviour of some of the drivers?

Mind you, they don't bother going over the overtaking rules in the breifings thoroughly and if folk haven't done track days and just want to boy race then that's what happens.

A long time ago, I was told you can only overtake on the three straights?

How did the AX do, I was in group one too but don't recall seeing you? (yoyu should have come over and said Hi, I would know who you meant by dc1984!)

I was glad to see he binned it at the end on the warm up lap. Seemed like payback;)

I wasn't too sure if it was anyone off here that owned it mate, I was up with Iain (nova_sport) I wasn't on the track today just driving the transit with the car on the back:)
Shame the weather didn't clear up sooner. It was starting to get good at the end.

Come and say Hi next time, be good to put a face to the words. I'm pleased the pic, probably accidently but it looks quite aggressive with the three of us crowded lol

The guy in the red Clio wasn't overly happy, I think he thought he was faster than he was.

Officially its always only been overtaking on the home straight and the back straight, and unofficially on the short straight between the chicane and carlube corner. But you do get the do or die'ers trying it all over the shop. They used to have cones out at the corners to stop any undertaking which was fun trying to get back in if overtaking a similar paced car. :d
