thats what im aiming for mate, got a lot of the bits now
GM 13N low comp pistons, 1300 head with 1mm enlarged inlet and exhaust valves, (could use a 1600 top end instead of the pistons), C16SE cam, Renault 5 GTT hybrid turbo, tubular manifold, FMIC, few other bits and pieces plus decent management i reckon i might get there lol epic if i do

1.4 8v in mine. cheap tax and enough power to have a bit of fun with
X18XE1 in bits atm, but not really on the list unless you class it under baby XE, which is ridiculously unfair on it tbh :p
mk, its a baby xe, just a rather good one...
Think mine has a turbo lump in it some where...

Pah, different head, different breather system, totally different design ethics really! The baby XE bits all transfer, same head etc, it's a lot more different than all the 8v's that are under different headings! lol
C20XE here, but it's not a 'redtop' so there is no option i can click :p

the block got altered too.. but the moving parts are interchangeable, so you can see the basic engine architecture is still there.. i've decided i'm definitely building my 'e18se' up out of the bits i've got, and if its shyte, then i'm sticking on the x16xel head i've got...

there is always one
lol what would you have called that group then?
Taaaalk to me if you plan on using a 1600 head, I might have something I can do a bit better than standard.
The bore spacing is the same yes, in that bits fit... but it's a very different engine! I would not be surprised if a different company designed it compared to the 14/1600's

Baby XE
X18XE1
Simples!
You also missed the X18XE, and the 16SV big blocks, but they suck so that's fair enough lol

Bought years ago when they were cheap (between £20 and £600) although, it's expensive keeping them on the road (alternate years)
I don't know, they all have different strong points/charm, I was going to be diplomatic but I'll vote for the 1.0 as I bet no-one else is that crazy lol
