same size as the factory one at a guess, but i definitely agree with the above post.. the biggest you can fit should do it

It's quite nice to have a pair of push types replace the standard single pull because it frees up some space within the bay, making things like exhaust manifold removal a breeze.

The trade off is the weight gets moved a bit further forward, but then there should be a slight weight saving overall. It's most probable the aftermarket ones will be more efficient too.

Almost all the lim lines fans weigh half the std one tho dont for get...^

If you wanna do the cheaper way. The mk4 Astra ac fan is slim in size, make by Ken Lowe and fits on the front just right... Oh and has enough power to cool the rad from half to a quarter in about 5 sec..lol

Mines a Pacet 11" mounted on the front of a standard GTE rad and cools my XE fine..
