May be worth keeping an eye on it, but have a feeling it will go silly, and there's the risk it's not as good as it looks!
wonder what condition it in under all that paint and carpet lol
Bugger you, i had been keeping an eye on it hoping no one else had seen it :(
May as well put my credit card away lol
my thoughts on the subject
someone who manages to get their car impounded, either by not taxing it or not insuring it is hardly going to be looking after it in other ways.
see the ebay listing has ended, but the seller is from enfield not Belvedere where the auction says its located

i think i'd pefer to trust an auctioneers website to some jack the lad in 'enfield' trying to scam with a duplicated set of photos

Front end doesn't look aligned, maybe a bad repair?

thinking the same.
this could make big money , bet it comes to ireland
It's easy to say that but bet most people have run a nova around the block without it completely legal and obviously someone would get a tug of some local bobby

Who's to say it was taken under those reasons? It could be someone's estate that has been seized because of fraud, money launder or profit from any other ill gotten gains!
The car looks straigh as a die to me!
1 owner from new and still has mot suggests its been looked after to me!
The broken steering crook lock suggests it was taken from place of parking or storage.
You need to be registered to bid, and from my understanding you have to pay a registering fee, so the usual d*ck on eBay won't be bidding ;)
Looks to me like someone is going to be getting a nice early gsi.
Proberbly see it advertised by a company for £5k+ in a couple of months time!

I might have a we punt on this.

So you have to pay 20% extra ontop of what the winning bid is?

Do you reckon it's worth a punt? With the prices of gsi's now £1500 ish is a steal....

Looks a very straight, unmolested car from the photos.
I would discount the former ebay advert - I think a trader pre-empted he was going to get it cheap on the auction site but its been found, so will likely fetch good money (so he cancelled the ebay listing)!
I think it will go for a lot more than £1500 though.

I'm winning it at the minute, what would be your maximum bid? There is 20% buyers fees on top but no vat...
says it has to be lifted by Tuesday 14th

As nice as that would be, I'm sure a dealer has bought it. If it were me, I would restore what needs doing using original bits and then put it into an airtight bubble in storage and leave it another 10 or so years... Then sell it for silly money! lol
No way has that done 14k. Engine is filthy and wear on the bolster as well

i agree got 114k written all over it, only 1 owner should mean history but has no proof of mileage

Or the past few owners have just not completed the logbook, I know I have bought cars in the past where the whole V5 document has been given to me by the seller, which could make a potential 2 owner car appear as a 1 owner car worth more money.

I cant understand for the life of me, why anyone would think that just because a car has only been owned by one person, that its worth more than a car thats been owned by say six people!
My 2003 asrta mk4 had 192,000 miles on it when i bought it, one owner from new, with service history....
Ticks all the boxes apart from the mileage you say, well no, it had never been cleaned ever, the inside was rank as it looks like the kids football team played their matches in the car itself, there were missing bits of trim on the doors externally, the grill was missing its vaux badge, the rear bumper was stoved in and the rear light was damaged.....
It was still a one owner from new car, with service history etc..... £200 lol
to pay 2550 for the on, is mad, unless the buyer knows more than everyone else
a risk to take

On a common, readily obtainable car then yes, owners isn't too important but on classics and "retro" etc, the 1 owner image can count for a lot in increasing value. Not saying that it should matter, but it does. lol
It just confuses me is all, my mate bought an early mk1 from the original owner, and he wanted to sell it without putting it in his name (as he bought it to sell) and wanted the new owner to be the 'second owner' cant understand it myself!

£2550
Is that total or is that plus fees and vat?

I would have bought the mk2 Cavalier SRI that looked reasonably tidy and sold for £200 at the same time!
Whatever the mileage is, it's still very rare indeed to find an original gsi that hasn't been touched... With mot!
With one owner and in, what looks like, good straight condition is very difficult to value... I had a punt at 2200 (and regretted it immediately), but without being able to have a good poke around, it wasn't worth any more risk!
The new owner willbe shelling out £3000 for an untested car... That could turn out to be an absolute peach. The engine, whilst dirty, doesn't look like its done 114k either, neither does the pedal rubbers or gear knob... Unless someone has gone to great lengths to make it tidy?

I would say the mileage is correct. Jubilee clips, wiper motor etc still have that gold look to them. As for the seat bolster, getting in and out of a car that is used on a regular basis for small 2 mile drives will be worse than 80k on motorway journeys in terms of wear. The distance you travel between getting in and out of the car doesn't really matter imo.

Well it looked a decent buy to me, a bit of tlc and I reckon it will be a good one. It may be fecked underneath but well that's the chance you take I suppose.

Excellent buy there, if I was wanting a Nova I would have had a go on that, does look like it has done 14K looking at the engine bay and general condition. Worth what it went for all day everyday.
it is now listed on ebay asking 10K plus !
MOT history is showing a different milage...
Where can I view this magnificent sounding vehicle? Couldn't see it on eBay.
10k
AFPMSL what a joke
No mk2 is worth that :d

No nova is worth that full stop.
This listing was ended by the seller because the item was lost or broken.
