Always fancied a go at some vodka. Must be pretty easy as everyone in russia seems to brew their own.

stu is right, anyone can make a still to evaporate & then condense a liquid to create a concentrated alcoholic drink....putting the right stuff into it to make one that's drinkable is the difficult bit.. don't bother watching re-runs of that american moonshiners show for ideas, cos it was absolutely 100% faked up..

oh, and that cheap 'polish' vodka is usually industrial alcohol watered down.. people have gone blind cos of it

I'd simply brew up a beer kit and distill that for starters.

well, it would taste better than jack daniels for a start...

OP, you must drink a lot of alcohol to need your own still lol lol

its probably the most efficient way to make yourself blind.

understand how dangerous methanol is and how easy it is to take a cut of that instead of ethanol.

the only good thing is the cure for methanol poisoning is to drink a bottle of vodka

Good thing about working for a brewery I'm learning about brewing alcohol and have a file (which I'm giving back tomorrow) that tells you all you need to know about brewing, albeit the brewery I work for makes ale and has just released a lager.

Making ale is probably different to make vodka though.

Which brewery? I missed out on becoming a brewery engineer for sharps in Cornwall lol

It's a micro brewery called Sonnet 43 I'm the delivery driver. Is it bad that I like the smell of ale at 8am lol

How far do you deliver? Lol

understand how dangerous methanol is and how easy it is to take a cut of that instead of ethanol.

Difficult, when you're working with an alcoholic drink that doesn't contain methanol.

Just make sure you set up some booby traps using tin cans and string lol

How far do you deliver? Lol

At the moment within 30 miles of the brewery (although I'm sure Holtwhistle (sp) is more than 30miles from Coxhoe) but hopefully further by the end of the year.
