Early or late engine? I did my early one with no special tools

Im guessing early one. I think i used a 1/4 inch socket extension and ratchet.

yeah its a early engine but it was a pig to fit and when i finally got it on in the right timing, it was already pretty tight anyways
I did mine with an allen Key but not sure if mine is early or late type, the belt serpentines on mine if that helps
No special tools needed on either engine. 3/8th extension fits perfectly into the tensioner...

on the tentsioner side its tight but on the front roller side its a little loose, i can twist the belt just over a quarter is this ok or should it be tighter
