Have had a few problems lately and looks like i need to move house, i will have to move into my flat wich means-
I havent got the space, time or money to do anything else on my GSi.
So i am breaking it. Most will know that i have been changing my mind about the plans with it etc. But this is it. The entire thing is up for sale in bits (already in pieces so not hard)
I will lose a shed load of money but at the moment the small amount i can get back will be a bonus.
I dont have any where to keep it through the winter and i cant afford to do anything else on it this year, i dont think i can face seeing it there this winter and i have to be out the house in january and im not here for most of December/January.
Will spend the next hour or so writing out a list of parts for sale.
I know i slag everyone else for doing this but perhaps that is because of denial on my own part.

Nah thats it for the fair Nova in my life, it was either this one or nothing, i will continue to by them to break with Will but i wont own or have another in my name, i will buy a cheap runabout until mid next year when i can hopefully afford something worth owning.
I cant justify the money it eats anymore.

Hope you find a good runner. :)
It's revolting and sad when we are obligated to say good-bye to something that we love and put up pretty much. :(
Finally, hope you keep up with Vauxhall's, they're good vehicles

Thanks for being supportive everyone. It is so weird as you dont realise how attached you get to material objects.
The ffedback from the adverts has been immense, have had over 120 contacts for parts, deduct the usual 90% of timewasters and i could still have some serious intrest in virtually everything.
I will own more Novas as ive said before but a Nova will NOT be my main car and i will NOT be modifying to any extent whatsoever, if i do buy one it will be a GSi but i acnt really be bothered with the hassle and trouble every year of worrying about the corosion for an MOT.
I will wait until mid next year and either buy an R reg Astra GSi or something like an IS200, both cars i belive are better in the standard guise so i wouldnt even become tempted to modify them.

I know how you feel mate, I had to do the same thing with my old GSi when I was building(trying to build!!!) a 2.0 after my crash. In the end I needed the money and couldn'tjustify spending any more on it, so stripped it and the shell got crushed :(
Just think though, soon you'll be in Thailand again and things will seem much better!!! I know I cant wait to get out there next year!!! :)

Sorry to hear that m8.
After a looong conversation with Ben last night, trying to persuade him not to do it, I can see that he really has no other choice.
But fear not, I will pry him with pictures and my 2 Novas to get him back into the Frat.
I can understand the 'runabout' aspect of the Nova, and the fact that a more comfortable car is an attractive proposition.
Its what I did..... but then sold the comfortable heap and bought another GTE!!!
Dont worry kids, I will do my best to bring him back from the dark side.......

The cage is removable, in all fairness is giving me the biggest headache selling, people want to come and collect it in there Nova- LMFAO
To fit the cage you basically need to remove everythin removable thing in the car icluding sun visors, grab handles, pillar covers etc etc.
bloody fcuk Ben :o

i know what you mean about being attached to material things, like a car.
I literally cried when i wrote my corsa off.
I dont really know you too well, but i know youre a regular on here so i hope you wont be leaving us!
All good things come to an end, but better things are just around the corner.
Good luck mate.

Whatever mate. But I know how much Ben loves his Novas, so I thought I would try to get him back onside.

Reality bites. Bad luck m8. Dont worry - its all part of lifes rich tapestry. So long as you've had some good times and happy memories from having it then you've not done so bad.
We all know its something of a labour of love owning a Nova. The little feckers are always going wrong or never finished and they have the ability of swallowing up your hard earned crust with alarming regularity. There's no shame in opting out at some stage for a bit - I'm sure nearly everyone parts with their Nova at some stage either thru a crash or a similar circumstance to yours.
Just keep coming on the board for a chat with us all :)
