Anyone got any good ideas for securing the battery in place in my novavan? The bolt that's part of the battery tray has snapped off but I want to secure the battery in place and don't really want to drill through the battery tray if possible.

To be honest for our '69 land rover all we had to do was use two bungies, link them together and put it around them and the tray, passed it's mot like that. Obviously if you're looking for something less bodged something like Chris suggested would be better

You cannot get the bolt from the market? By welding you can secure the battery but when you need to remove or replace then again have to unweld so think again before welding.

i think you missunderstand. The OE stud has sheared off from the tray. Welding an M8 bolt on to the tray by the head will restore the functionality of the OE battery calmp.
