Hi I have changed a red top engine on a corsa that had a red top in it already now it has no spark or fuel it ran before but had a cracked block I have not changed any of the wiring and the fuel pump relay is clicking it has a Clifford alarm on it could this be causing the problem any help please im pulling my hair out with it

Make sure the engine and block is earthed to the chassis, and also lock and unlock the car with the alarm and then try it, might sound daft but it's worked for me before

Earth is on gear box end to chassis and battery earth to block is that right

it would be easier if you helped us by telling us what you have already checked and tried.

simply saying 'my car wont start' wont have people jumping into the thread to suggest pages of things which could be at fault. There could be literally hundreds of perfectly reasonable things that are wrong.

do you have the Engine management light wired up and the reading plug thing working? if so either do the paper clip test to flash what codes come up or take it to a garage and have them plug it in to see if any codes come up.

i appreciate this, but what have you checked? does the fuel pump run when the engine is cranking or when priming? should be both.

if the FP relay is clicking then the ECU is asking for the pump to run, so the problem is on the power side between the battery-fuse-relay-pump and earth.
